Nextel to LMR

Post by Quarterwave »

Anyone brewed up a cheap(er) and easy way to integrate an iDen to a conventional repeater? I would like to DC into my UHF from afar but don't want to spend what it costs for a PC interface or a console....repeater's not worth that much! Thanks.

Sytech Corp does this on a regular basis, but not at a cost that you would call cheap. Their RIOS interoperability
gateway system has this as one of their normal functions.

I believe that Telex also has a solution for you but have no experience personally.

http://www.criticalrf.com also has a way to do this with their SiteCAST box where you would just hook up the NEXTEL iDEN to a PC and the UHF to the PC. You can build your own cables/pinouts published to save $.
