ribless mods? gp300 ribless to p1225?

Post by jdcadc »

Hey all, I have a ribless cable that does several different kinds of mobiles and portables, it has the fake battery for the p110/gp300 and the mic plug for the radius line of mobiles and then a 2.5mm plug for other radios. Now that being said here is my question. I just got several p1225s that I need to program and don't really want to buy another cable for it. I have basic electronics knowledge but not a whole lot to build a whole setup from scratch like what is shown on this site. Is there a simple way to make the cable I currently have work for the p1225s? Any help would appreciated. Thanks

Use an old charger base. If you have the trickle charger base, you'll have to move one of the existing contacts to the correct position on the board. If you have a rapid charger base, all four contacts are in place. Just attach wires to the appropriate places on the board, and connect them to the appropriate places on an RJ45 jack (female) to mate them to the appropriate connectors in the plug for the Radius mobiles. All the wiring info you need should be on the main site.
