Locating R417 on GP68 for removal.

I can't seem to locate R417 referencing the one drawing of the circuit board I have located. Does anyone have a jpg of the location or a good schematic?

I once owned two GP68s but they programmed fine
out of the box. However, I still have all of the setup
books for the GP60 family that I got out when I read
your post. Here's what it says:

Under GP60 family it talks about removing R417 which in
actuality is a jumper. (This applies to the GP68 radio
but not to the GP68 Plus. The Plus requires a mod done
by RSS.)

The diagram shows R417 at the center of a board. At the
top left is Crystal Y401. At the bottom right of the board
is J403. In the middle is R417, which apparently is either
a zero-ohm resistor or a wire jumper. To the left of R417
is R414, and right below is C484. If you can't find R417 it
might be because it's already been removed.

Thanks, but without a schematic or photo I am dead in the water. The half of the circuit board that has two crystals doesn't seem to line up wth your instructions very well. I think the jumper is intact because I can't program anything but a single frequency from the keypad. I can't hold the side buttons down while powering on and get it in to dealer programming mode.

Thats strange. The GP68 I had went into programming mode and I believe the resistor was still intact. This is probably a stupid question, but once you've held in the buttons while turning it on, are you pressing that top grey button along the side to get out of the memorized channels and into the frequency entry mode?

Even though the rough drawing of the circuit board was not spot on, I was able to deduce the correct resistor to remove and now everything seems to be working properly. It is nice to finally see and program frequencies in to the channel bank.
