Spectra A7 control head wiring

Post by KC2MDP »

I recently purchaced a spectra radio with the remote A7 control head. The orange wire I'm told is +12v. the speaker wires are obvious. What is the green wire for?
Thanks Steve KC2MDP

green wire goes to ignition sense. so the radio follows the ignition turnon

Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

I think you are mistaken. The orange wire is ran to accessory and the green wire is ran to +12VDC. I mean any configuration works but the configuration I mentioned allows the radio to retain the channel location before shutting down. Also the wiring has to do with being able to key the radio only when the car is on. Like I said though either way works.
