MT2000 tune-up/repair

Post by kc4iev »

Need a recommendation where to send a newly accuired vhf MT2000 for a tune-up/rx repair. Comparing the MT to a HT1000 sitting side by side, the MT is a distant second place in rx. Tx audio and wattage is nominal. Thanks.

I can certify that Will will do a fine job, if you have the time to mail/ship, etc.

If time is of the essence and you are near Massachusetts, try Cybercomm, in Dracut. A fellow named "Tommy" (cannot recall his last name) is a bench tech who is a whiz at older M portables, including MT2000s.

I'd recommend Will in a nanosecond. The HT1000 he repaired for me receives in places it never did before and out performs all of my other Jedi's hands down.
