CommandPLUS and MCS2000

Post by RVC Truckie »

I am interested to know if the MCS2000 can be remotely controlled by the CommandPLUS console? I did a search and can not find any information on whether the MCS2000 can be controlled remotely.

The MCS2000 does not have any internal remote control hardware, but there is no reason why you could not hook up an external tone remote adapter to its Tx audio, Rx audio and key lines. At the remote end, you'd have to use VOX unmuting, but that should work fine.

CPI makes a line of low end TRAs that I've had good luck with. Far and away the best TRA is the Zetron M250, but they are expensive and probably have a lot of features you wouldn't need.
