R100 "Device Not Ready"

Post by Stage 2 »

Hello All,
Save for one thread which mentions this problem, I could not find an answer to what is being seen on the screen while trying to program this machine. The R100 in question is in good working order having been gone through some time back by a used equipment dealer. The computer being used is a pure DOS machine running version 6.22 with a 25 Mhz clock. Yet, the above message is all that happens when the attmept is made to program. Regarding the thread that did cover the problem, the suggestion was to make sure you had a pure DOS machine which, of course, is being already covered here. Thanks in advance for any help. :o

You need a slower computer. It is sujested that a 286 10mhz computer be used for the R100 software, that is what it was written for.

You may have a slower setting on the computer you are using, but 25 mhz is way too fast. IE turn off the TURBO setting if possible.

Try to program it with the MC-Micro (MC-Compact)RSS.You can use a PC up to 386-25 for it.
