Low band antenna recommendation

Post by Jay G. »

We are in the middle of writing new specifications for a new fire truck (engine). It will have a UHF CDM1250 and a low band CDM1250.
We have 3 matching trucks now, two with the ball mount antennas on the side of the cab, and one with the regular Motorola NMO antenna on the roof.

Any recommendations for the BEST low band antenna??

thanks!

We had pretty good success with the loaded Lo-band NMO antenna from Motorola for many years with two of our super large clients. Except for the broken braids inside the spring, they were great. RAB401xARA kits.

We use the Comtelco A1801AH-xxS with excelent results.
Even on tow trucks that bash antennas in underground parking structures.
