Pac Rt Cdm1250

Pac Rt Cdm1250

I have a low band CDM1250 and was wondering if its possible to use a vhf pac rt with it and what would be needed
to do this

yes it is possible, you need the correct connector, or some serious understanding of the 16 pin connector and the pin-outs of a pac-RT. however, you need to remember, that your PAC-RT and CDM1250 cannot be the same band, so VHF-LO and VHF-HI are ok... but VHF-HI and VHF-HI are NOT ok, although im sure it can be achieved.

we use VHF-High CDM's with UHF-T pyramid vehicle repeaters....

You shouldn't have a problem interfacing it to the radio, I did it with mine with good results.

You'll have to use the CPS to program a pin for external PTT, and also be sure that the discriminator pin is not setup for filtered audio.
