MCS2000 Repeat/Direct Mode

Post by Larry »

I've got an MCS2000 model 3 with a remote mounted head. If I select direct/repeater mode it changes the function radio wide and not by the selected channel. I've also got a CDM1250 and if I select direct/repeater mode it only changes the function for the channel I'm on. The way the CDM operates makes it much easier to go back and forth between channels without having to keep switching between direct/repeat mode....

Is it possible for the MCS radio to change direct/repeat mode on a channel by channel basis?

i don't believe that is a selectable option, however, it seems that most Public Safety radios do that now, most switchable options are on a radio-wide basis. It is set that way so you can remember that the "radio" is on Talk-Around, not Channel 2,3,4,7 are on Talk Around, and I left Channel 1, 5, 6, 8, 9 not on talk-around. I believe the same thing exists with High/Low power.
