X 9000 Low Band

Has any body ever hooked-up an S-Meter to a Motorola X 9000 radio, if so do you have a diagram of the connection points.

Take a look at the PIEXX Syntor X revival installation PDF. Page 11 shows the meter lead installation for the low band radio.

The Syntor X and Syntor X 9000 RF boards are similar enough that the hookup point should be the same.

I believe this lead goes to the PIEXX Analog To Digital converter, where a microprocessor interprets the voltage levels. To connect an analog S meter, some active circuitry to condition the voltage levels and buffer the Syntor X 9000 RF board chip output pin would probably be required.
