esn problem

Post by radiomad »

hello.
If i use the Y cable trick to revive another radio, will this affect the esn of either radio? (gp680)
and obviously i can't flash a default cplug or firmware

I can't afford to lose the esn in another radio and i really need to keep the ones i've got as the system won't allow unknown esn's

any help on this will be appreciated,

you take a gamble any time you do something like that. if you want to be shure it's done right send it in for repair. just curious, how did it get the way it is in the first place?

the same way as my other 680 did, tried to upgrade the firmware and my pc crashed.

I think i shouls spend money on a new pc rather than spending it on replacement radio's for the ones i've messed up.

i just need a working esn, preferably without changing the original one.

just never tried anything with the esn before so don't really know what i'm doing and i don't know if i can send it in as it dosn't have any labels to identify it, so how would they know the correct esn?
