Give us some more info on your setup, like computer type/speed, RSS version, OEM/aftermarket RIB, OEM/aftermarket/homebrew cable, etc.

Note: Maratrac uses the same cable/RIB that Maxtrac radios use.

still not enuf information on your setup? first start your computer in dos, not windows. next run your rss and check the port assignment. plug the rib into the 232 port and plug your cable into the radio and rib then read the radio.

When I say computer type/speed, I mean the specs of the processor, like series (Pentium/II/III/IV, Athlon, Celeron, etc.), and speed (75, 90, 500, 1500 MHz, etc.).This is very important, as it tells which versions of RSS will/won't work with your computer. What operating system are you using (DOS, Win95, WinME, WinXP, Vista, etc.)? Does your computer have a serial port, or are you trying to use a USB to serial adapter? What version of RSS are you trying to use? It will tell you on the first screen that opens when you run the RSS. It should say something like "version R03.04.00", and have a date listed. Give us both.
