RJ45 pin 1, used on what programming cable? Help re Maxtrac

Post by Max-trac »

Problem;
I brought COR out to pin 1 on the mic jack of a Maxtrac (normally it is unused).
I sold the radio and when they hooked up their smartrib, it smoked the COR switching transistor. (sources + current).

Question; Is it possible there is a COMBINATION programming cable that uses pin 1 for another radio??
IE what programming cables use pin 1 on the RJ-45 end that also work on a Maxtrac?
?
Thanks!

I did find the MCX1000 has pin 1 going to pins 11 and 4 at the rib end.
MCS2000 uses pin 1.

Max-trac, it may not be a question of what radios use pin 1, but how their cable was built. Were they using a Moto-original cable, aftermarket, or homebrew?

Anyway, the GM350/600/950/MC900/MCX600 cable also has pin 1 tied to pin 12 on the RIB end, as well as being tied via a 1k resistor to radio pin 3/RIB pin 16. Thats the only other cable I see that uses pin 1.
