I’m not sure if this post is suitable for these forums but I have no ideas as to where else to try and post it, so my apologies if it really doesn’t belong here.
What I am trying to do is set up a recorder on a computer to record multiple frequencies across both the UHF and VHF bands. I’m aware of the existence of some kind of software that would record time stamps and audio for a computer, but that’s about it.
I’m looking for any information on building some kind of such a system. Any help would be most appreciated, thanks!

Re: Looking to Build a Multiple Input Recorder
This topic was covered on here some time ago (over a year ago, IIRC). I don't remember what software was discussed, but the hardware simply consists of a PC with multiple sound cards. The number of available ISA/PCI/whatever expansion slots in the computer is the only limit to how many channels you can have. I think you should be able to use something as simple as the sound recorder that comes with Windows for the software end. I know you can run multiple instances of it, and I'm pretty sure you can set which sound card each one gets it's input from. Good luck!

Re: Looking to Build a Multiple Input Recorder
I tried searching old posts and came up blank.
I was looking for something a little more complex, something that can manage the recording along with timestamps and maybe even some data from the channel (?).
Maybe I'm getting to far ahead of myself, but is this even feasible?

Re: Looking to Build a Multiple Input Recorder
Hmm. I have no idea about the date and time stamps, nor the data, but I would think that the data, being "encoded" as audio, shouldn't be a problem either way.
