CDM1250 remote mount cable?

I need to bench check a remote mount CDM1250. All I have is the remote head and the radio. What is the part number of the connecting cable? It is 10 pin modular. Is there a 10 pin network cable or another generic? Is it straight wired or reverse wired?

RKN4077A, RKN4078A or RKN4079A (3, 5 and 7 meter lengths, respectively)

Not sure if Motorola did anything funny with the guts, never tried using anything but the OEM cable.

I wouldn't kill yourself tracking down 10 pin wire and connectors just to bench check one, you can use 8 conductor and I believe the only thing you won't get is handset audio.

Jackhackett is correct, you can use an 8 conductor cable and have everything work, except for the handset audio.

The one risk to doing that is the outer edges of the eight conductor plug may bend the outside contact fingers in the jack enough that they may not make reliable contact again when you go back to the 10 conductor cable.

It's another one of those things that will usually work fine, but once in a while...

Good point, I probably wouldn't have ever noticed this as we never use handset audio around here.
