Re: Gm1200E conventional flash
I have GM1200E and i need convert to MC2100! I read on this forum, GM1200E it s no go flash to MC2100
Re: Gm1200E conventional flash
that is correct. its a no-go. if you need conventional you are stuck with the 10 channels and no other features.
Re: Gm1200E conventional flash
For the GM1200E you have 10 channels, but not for the whole radio! It's 10 channels per personnality. That means you can create several conventionnal personnalities and have at least 100 channels (and probably more if there's still enough free space in the codeplug).russinnes wrote:that is correct. its a no-go. if you need conventional you are stuck with the 10 channels and no other features.
In theory you could flash your GM1200E, but not into a MC2100. These radios belong to different families (the MC2100 is a Jedi/Skywalker, while the GM1200E is an Ariane radio).
You could try to flash your GM1200E into a GM950 if you have the firmware. I've never done it, so I won't be able to help you much here, but I've heard that it was possible.
