Maxtrac PTT Out

I'm hoping someone can help me with this one here ...

Is there any way to set one of the option outputs on the 16 pin connector of a maxtrac to be grounded when the PTT is pressed (or am I missing an obvious description on the piout diagram)??? I know the PTT in has to be grounded to make the radio transmit, but I need a "PTT status output" of sorts for a project I'm working on.

Any info helps!
