Help needed with /\/\ Spectra VHF Repeater

A friend on mine has a motorola spectra repeater for VHF. The only problem is neither him nor me can get it to work just right. I am having a very hard time trying to figure out:

A. how to enter service mode (Home button 5 times doe not work)
B. Finding some documentation on it
C. Getting it to work on ham bands

If you are speaking about the Suitcase repeater.....I have not seen much documentation on these outside of government channels.

Well, it is the "suitcase" model. I wrote down the system's model # and then lost it. I am, in fact, more interested in finding the radio's model number... but without opening thing up that could be pretty hard.
