gm300 audio problem

What radios do you own?: astro saber, gp380, xts3000

gm300 audio problem

today i received a gm300 its almost brandnew no scratches or anything, but when i turn it on it has no audio.
no startuptone
no keytone
and no receive audio
transmit audio is ok

what could be the problem?

Hello :
Most likely missing the 16 pin adaptor on the rear of the radio.
Do you see a black plastic plug that has two jumper wires on it that plugs into the 16 pin option port on the rear?
If not you need to get one or jumper the audio in /out pins on the 16 pins.
Look at the GM300 radio specific info for the exact two pins needed.
Come to think of it im not sure the info is posted there.
Do a search above for Maxtrac or GM300 no audio and scan through the older posts = you should be able to find the info.

You will need to jumper pins 15 & 16 on the 16 pin rear accessory connector using an HLN9242 accessory connector.

Or take a PC board jumper and push it over pins 15/16 as that works just as good as an accessory connector. I do that on almost every radio i get.

it was the pin 15/16 jumper that dith the trick.
