No home channel revert ht1250?
Hi, I was trying to program an ht1250, and couldn't find an option to make any button "home" is there no provision in that radio? Also, did moto ever revise the software to allow for ONE button zone change in the 1250? thanks.

There is a "Home Revert" option if the radio is being used in a LTR / Passport system, which will jump it back to the assigned channel.

The key is that the standard HT1250 has a fixed (and labeled) channel selector. If you think about it, having the selector on one channel, and the radio on another would make a confusing mess, in a hurry.
The Passport capable HT1250 LS+ has a continuous rotary and, like the mobiles, will allow front panel channel selection (or up / down) on keys.
As far as zone, you can set up a button to call the zone menu, but there is no one touch function.

While there is a lot of logic to HH's observation, this logic is not observed by Motorola in other applications. For instance, the XTS portables allow a true "home" key function that results in a mismatch between the actually selected channel and the selector knob. As does the "Commander" series of shoulder mikes (which have their own set of issues), which allows a mismatch not only between actually selected channel and channel selector knob, but also between actually implemented audio level and volume knob position.HumHead wrote:The key is that the standard HT1250 has a fixed (and labeled) channel selector.
