Spectra securenet programming

Can anyone tell me how to program or change a external securenet spectra into a conventional spectra that can be programmed with a regular ribbox and RSS. I can't get through my ribbox to even attempt to make it a 'normal' spectra. I can program my conventional spectras just fine, but recently got hold of some cast off securenet units, and can't seem to get into them? Any suggestions would be most appreciated. I hate the thought of dumping the whole lot into the dirt.

Are the the fed hhch units?

I don' know. They have an external securenet box that plugs into them. How does one tell if they are fed hhch units? They either came from a state police, or the irs. I'm not sure which. I have conflicting info on the units.

You don't really have to dump them into the basin of Atlantic ocean. I used to have a ex-BP Spectra that, like you said, requires a external securenet box and have a weird control cable configuration. What I did was I took a "known good" spectra codeplug, using spectra lab to change the serial number, model number of the donor radio to match your target radio, than program it using lab. You may have to bitbang the radio in order to get everything working the way it should. Oh, before you do so, remember to write down the alignment settings before you force anything into your target radio.

It took a while to get everything working, but it was a sweet feeling to see it work
