HT1250 Cloning problem

Post by cusackmusic »

I have an HT1250 Model AAH25KDF9AA5AN, which has 100 channels in it. I just bought a new HT1250, Model AAH25KDH9AA6AN. I cannot find a way to clone the new radio. I keep getting a model number mismatch error.

I tried modifying the header of the HEX file, by putting the correct model number in. When I look at the hex file, the model number is changed, but when I open that codeplug, the model number that shows up is still the original model number. What this must mean is that the model number is stored in another place in the hex file, but it is not in a format that is obvious. Since the options between these two are just about the same, shouldn't I be able to do this somehow? I REALLY don't want to manually enter 100 channels for my new radio.

Someone please help...

Sorry, there is no provision for cloning between unlike models for the Professional Series CPS, nor is there any 'drag & drop' capability as exists for other CPS packages. You're stuck with re-entering all your information. Welcome to the /\/\achine.

But there really isn't much difference, except the full keypad. But I put the full keypad on my older one, so now they are really the same radio. I just don't understand why I can't just copy it somehow. Somebody out there must have run into this before...

Think about it.....a clone cannot be anything other than identical in all respects with the original.....otherwise it wouldn't be a clone. What wavetar said.
