Connect computer audio to Maxtrac or Nextel

Connect computer audio to Maxtrac or Nextel

I'd like to connect the line level audio coming out of a laptop and feed it into either Nextel DirectConnect or a Maxtrac style 16pin connector. Has anyone found a inexpensive way to do this? I know there are lots of expensive products out there that do this. I'm looking for *inexpensive* or even homebrew ways to do this. If your solution is greater than $300 don't reply. Thanks!
