Spectra Parts Depletion

Post by kc7gr »

Fellow techies, especially the Spectra fans,

I have some bad news. The audio PA chip for the standard analog Spectras, part number 51-80065C19, is coming up in the database on MOL as "No longer available upon depletion of current stock."

This is also true of the 12-pin connector used on the VCO carrier board, P/N 28-80099M02.

If you think you might need some of either part, now is the time to stock up!

Happy tweaking.

If the astro spectra one is still available, I bet it's the same part.

Nope, it's not.

Kilgore: Smell that? You smell that?
Lance: What?
Kilgore: Napalm, son. Nothing in the world smells like that.
Kilgore: I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end...
