Telepower (BMS) charger-conditioner question

Post by rrfd43 »

I have a telepower branded condtioner/charger exactly the same as the Motorola BMS ssytem. The front pannel buttons are intermitent: sometimes they will put it into condition mode, sometimes they won't work at all. Anyone know who make this (itec?) or know what may make it work?

Kinda gotta get some more life out of it...

The Battery Maintenance Systems (BMS) with from Motorola are built by Itech (except the very old ones for Saber which was designed and built by Motorola).
The Battery Optimizing System is/was built by Cadex in Canada.

If your Telepower unit is exactly like the BMS, it's most likely Itech's.

I called Itech and they do bulid the one I have (marked telepower) but is identical to the BMS. The overlay seems to be bad. They are discontinued but some parts are available for about the same cost as the unit used on e-bay. Seems I'll be searching junk piles for some time...unless someone has a parts unit laying around.
