CDM 1550 POWER IGNITION PROBLEM

HOW DO I GET THE RADIO TO POWER UP WHEN I TURN THE IGNITION ON AND TO TURN OFF WHEN THE VEHICLE IS SHUT OFF. I PROGRAMMED THE IGNITION ON/OFF IN ACCCESSORIES PRGRAMMING AND THE POWER IS TO A FUSE THAT IS ONLY HOT WHEN THE VEHICLE IGNTION IS ON. IT WILL SHUT OFF FINE WHENI SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF HOWEVER WILL NOT COME BACK ON WHEN I TURN THE CAR ON I HAVE TO PUSH THE POWER BUTTON TO POWER UP???? ANY HELP PLEASE

Real quick:

In addition to programming the radio to recognize the ignition sense line, you have to wire it.

The main power to the radio should not be ignition switched; you'll lose some settings when the radio shelf is powered down and, as you've learned, powering up the shelf will not cause the radio to turn on. Rather, another wire has to be led, through an appropriate fuse, from a source of switched B+ to a pin on the accessory connector on the back of the radio. Your installation manual should show you which pin and how to make up the connection.
