Best use for Moto DTR radios?
Just curious what the application of the ISM 900MHz radios were intended for. Thanks!

Metal buildings, close proximity stuff inside buildings, or just general business use. I used a pair at Dayton once and they worked for pretty much most of the span of the place. I was impressed.

In a nutshell, they're onsite business radios.
They're basically intended for:
Factories
Hotels/Motels
Highrise management staff
Offices
Automobile dealerships
Warehouses
Large retail stores
Construction sites

They offer excellent in-building penetration, and can often be used in place of 4-watt UHF radios with better results within buildings. We have customers using them in hotels which previously needed a repeater with their UHF radios to give full coverage. The DTRs have no coverage issues in these cases.

I just did a brief review of the DTR radios, complete with spectrum analyzer plots. It was in some radio forum if I can just now find the url.
I can say these things work excellent.
