XTS 3000 Type III Programming

Post by mstahl »

Please excuse my ignorance, but this is my first attempt at trying to program my XTS 3000. I have recently purchased a Polaris PA-1 RIB and Model 14 cable to connect my XTS 3000 to my computer. These all seem to be fine and compatible, here is where the questions arise. I have a copy of CPS R10.00.00, which I was told was used to program the radio before I received it. Does anybody know if CPS R10.00.00 will support a Motorola XTS 3000? If not would anybody be able to tell me the last CPS that supports XTS 3000. Lastly, I'm using WinXP 64, which the CPS software had to be installed under compatibility mode and I don't know if this would effect the programming. Any insight into this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You need Astro Saber/XTS3000 CPS. The latest rev is R05.02. What you have is Astro 25 CPS, and that is for the newer XTS5000's, and other Astro 25 radios and will not work for your 3000.
