CDM1250 Menu

Post by fireguy810 »

Hello,
I'm trying to program a button on my CDM1250 to be able to access the menu options on it. (the utilities and such) The only option that I see under the button assignments is Menu/Channel Up and Menu/Channel Down. Neither one of these allow for menu access. I dont see any other option indicating menu.
Any ideas?

You can't program it on one of the front panel buttons. You can, however, assign it to one of the buttons on the enhanced keypad microphone.

Yup, you have to use the DTMF mic to use menu function on the CDM1250. You can access menu functions from the control head on CDM1550 family radios.

Try programming one for Enter, there's also an Exit that backs you out of the menus. I only ever use the scan list programming and zone select menu items, so I'm not positive if it works for everything, but I don't see why it wouldn't.

What radios do you own?: APX4K, XTL5K, NX5200, NX700HK

You don't need the DTMF mic to make menu work, just use the above method on the front programmable buttons.
