I am building a portable interoperable box for a local EM Agency. VHF and UHF are no problem - I've got a bunch of those. However, I need a radio for the NPSPAC 800 frequencies, repeater and simplex, pre and post-rebanding. It needs to have a COR out. I thought I would appeal to the expertise here for suggestions on something readily available, is about the size of a GM300 or Spectra, and programs using common software (Like CPS Professional 06.00 or the like.) Although I have a preference for something inexpensive, I would like for it to have an alpha-numeric display.
And, while I'm at it, I'll ask, is there a better way than a multi-port repeater controller to crossband VHF and/or UHF and/or 800? Something that doesn't cost a kilobuck?
Suggestions, please?
Thank you!

Might want to look at a few of the things Tridnet is making now.
