Maratrac won't key up repeater
I unplugged the a7 control head from my Maratrac & when I plugged it back in the light above where the the "direct" button would be if it was there instead of the dummy cover came on & I cannot (of course) key up our repeater. Any suggestions? Thanks!!!

Put a button in place of the dummy cover, press it and see what happens from there

You should NOT unplug the control head with the power applied. There is power in the radio tray all the time, this holds settings in memory.
Remove all power from the radio and control head, wait 30 min. Then reapply the main power, big red cable to the radio first and then the
green lead at the control head.
This should reset it.

That did the trick- I didn't know if the buttons on the cicuit board would be there or not...but they were- thankstxshooter wrote:Put a button in place of the dummy cover, press it and see what happens from there

I had already tried removing all power to the radio & control head, which made no difference
