ht1250ls
does anyone know if you can put mdc signalling in an ht1250 ls on conventional channels?
Re: ht1250ls
Some of the later models will allow you to do limited signaling on conventional. Unfortunately, usually if yours doesn't do it already you are stuck. You'll need to get a full HT1250.

Re: ht1250ls
You need a 32 channel model to MDC/QCII on conventional zones IIRC
Re: ht1250ls
all ht1250lx i have come across do a full mdc on conventional modes
Re: ht1250ls
Actually, no HT1250ls radios will do MDC on conventional. You need a regular HT1250, or an HT1250ls+ with a model# ending in either "7AN" (limited keypad) or "9AN" (full keypad).

Re: ht1250ls
Ah yes, it's the LS+ models that have to be 32 ch to do signaling on conventional personalities
Re: ht1250ls
I have an ht1250ls - model number AAH25SDH9DU6AN and I really need to do mdc signalling. I am a police officer and a reserve deputy sheriff. I want to use this radio as my backup radio. The band split enables me to use it for both departments. But per policy I cant use it if it doesnt have mdc signalling. Is the radio actually different inside - hardware wise?? I have a 9an codeplug. If I was able to force the codeplug into the radio do you think it would enable the functions?? Thank you so much for your help.
