NTN4633C charger problem

NTN4633C charger problem
I bought a NTN4633C rapid charger for my MT1000 two years ago and it's always worked fine, until the other day I noticed a battery had been on it for about 4 hours and the red charge light was still on. The charger itself was warm but the battery wasn't, and it wasn't even charged enough to power the radio on standby RX'ing on low audio for just two hours. I've tried many batteries on it including OEM NTN5447B's and NTN5448's with no success, but when charged on a different unit they're fine. What the heck happened to this charger?

Anybody? Guess I need to buy another one then, I still haven't got it working right.

I have not been into that charger, but a number of chargers have an internal fuse to protect it. If the fuse blows
for what ever reason, you will never charge a battery. The fuses look like a small resistor but are normally all
the same color like green or a light brown tan color. Many people call them Pico fuses. They solder into the
circuit board like a resistor.
Bad batteries, very low voltage batteries and trying to TX while in the charger are all possible causes for the
internal fuse to blow. You might want to open up the charger and poke around with a voltmeter to see where
your loosing the voltage. Start at the charge terminals and follow the circuit back to the source.

Jim, thanks for the reply! I found the fuse on the circuit board, it's still good. I'll have to check it with a meter now.
