hello all -

ok i have an xts3k - first personal moto for me - great radio

mfg - 07-06-01
ver 7.3.19
flash 500008-000000-1

i am considering a xts25k new - bandwidth reasons (450 - 512)

are the new radio's as well built as the older ones

(01 xts3k vs 08 xts25k)

looking for some feed back

I love my 2500's and think they are very well built and feel solid. They are Rev B radios. I don't know if they are better built than a 3000, but I know the 5K is.

Can't go wrong with them, IMO, unless you need some of the features/options available in/for a 5K.

Different software for a 2500 than a 3000, and no RIB needed.

What bandwidth reasons? The S-split XTS3000 is 450-520, just like the XTS2500.

By the way, you might have someone take a look at that defective CAPS LOCK key. Caps are like SCREAMING.
