I have searched some stuff on the EEPROM CS ERROR and it stated that I might be able to bring the radio back to life, but I have been unsuccessful. I also did note a issue with older firmware and new CPS, which also maybe my issue. Here is a list of facts I know.
CDM1250 UHF
AAM25SKD9PW2AN
Firmware version 5.05.19 I believe
CPS 06.09.06
Error that I recevie when trying to write to the radio is Error Code 4, unable to read radio
Error that I recieve when trying to read the radio is "Image is corrupted. Checksum for R/W Region failed."
This all started after I tried to program the radio, and I did find out that my RIB was starting to die (battery) as I was programing the radio.
I do have the old codeplug saved untouched.
Does anyone have any thoughts???
Or do I need to send this back to a depot????

Re: CDM EEPROM CS ERROR
I'm going to guess you've tried to blow the good codeplug back into it. Have you happened to try to flash the radio just for giggles? I doubt it will work cause from what I've seen you are looking at a big fancy brick. I've heard that you need to read and write the codeplugs (thereby updating the codeplug version) before making any changes to the codeplugs with the current version of CPS that it released. This may be limited to certain models but I have been told here to read/write then change/write. Seems tedious but it helps avoid any problems.
All in all I'd say send it to the depot if you haven't already. They will take care of it there. Thank goodness you have the original template for it cause it will come back defaulted. I don't know if they got the bootloader system there or not.

- What radios do you own?: HT1550's, X9000's, CDM1550's
Re: CDM EEPROM CS ERROR
i think 5.06.04 is the newest firmware for the mobiles so you could start there by updating the firmware and see if that brings it back. and find a simple one channel codeplug for that radio and try to keep writing it to the radio until it comes back, cold take one time could take fifty but they usually come back. and if possible do your programming from the back connector if you are gonna upgrade the firmware anyway.
