What's a fair price for a Minitor II SV?
One of the guys at the firehouse asked me to take a look at about 50 Minitor II SV. His part time FD upgraded and they want to sell them outright. Some may need work and I told him I would throw them on the monitor and make sure they were all working before selling. They are complete with the basic charger. I told him about $30-40 ea. That reasonable to ask even that much or is that low too?

I would not spend any more than that, considering a few things:
1. To re-crystal will be about $20 for the crystal
2. tone reeds, if they can be found, are about $20 each
So, to get the pager working on a new freq with the right tones is $60 for parts. It takes about 1/2 hour to re-crystal and tune up a working pager.
In addition, it depends on the condition of the pagers. I have had batches from fire departments where half of them have broken belt clips. Another common problem is that when they sit in the charger all the time the batteries go bad and corrode the battery contacts with green crud. So you might end up using every third pager for parts.
