What radios do you own?: HT/CDM series are my choice

programming error

Post by svfd450 »

hey guys. I need some help on something. I have two radios that im trying to program with cps version 06.09.06 When i try to read them in passport mode i get an error saying: number of read blocks could not be obtained. the radio is a ht1250ls with a model H25SDH9DP5an and the version is R05.09.06. the other radio is a cdm1550ls+ but i do not have the model numbers on me for that. i do however know it does passport. any help on this would be awsome!

thanks,

steve

Can you clarify which version of CPS you are using?
Is the version of ProRadio CPS R06.09.06 or R05.09.06?

Not the revision of the radio, but the revision of the Professional Radio CPS software.

Thank you

Unless it is an HT1250ls+, it is not Passport capable, if you're trying to read it with the Passport CPS.

ems-280: the cps software version is r06.09.06

wavetar: might be so but i thought that dp in the model number stood for passport? the other radio im having the same error is a cdm 1550ls+ model number aam25shf9dp5an. this radio had issue so it had to get sent out so whatever the latest firmware is i think its on this radio. thanks for the replys guys! im trying to grasp everything here.

and the ht1250-ls+ as well as the cdm-1550ls+ can both be programmed using the Professional Radio CPS 06.09.06 that you have.
Try reading both radios out of passport mode, and you should be able to program them.

Like I said, unless the HT1250ls has a "+" sign at the end, it is NOT Passport capable. Does it have the "+" sign?

For your CDM1550ls+, if it's back from repair with the latest firmware, then it needs the latest Passport CPS version in order to read it. What version do you have?

No, the latest I see a "release note" on MOL for is 5.02.00, so he probably has the version correct. I can't remember specifically, but if you enable it in the regular CPS, I believe you can view both the "radio" and "passport" firmware versions through the radio utilities sub-menu.
