HT 1250 LS+ Programing

Gday I very new at this
I'm from Australia and after looking around I bought myself a HT 1250 LS+ over the net, thought this would do what I needed. A lot of people said that it's very good
So now all I have to do is program it, so I contacted Motorla Australia and they tell me that this model isn't avalable in Australia and to contact Motorola USA. So I did that and they said to contact Motorola Australia
So what am I to do? I have the CPS Professional Radio CPS R06.01.00 but when I go to read the unit it comes up with Error 4-1379
Can anyone tell me what this means and how to fix it or should I just sell the unit and buy something other than a Motorola.
Please do not use radio talk (Abbreviations) as I have no idea.

search function works great in this situation. that error code means it's not for the right region, you have australian or european version cps with a us radio. your problem is that the ht's are not supposed to be out of the us so that's why motorola is giving you the catch 22 runaround. if you run a search on here you will find a way to hack your registry to get your cps to work with the us radios. the downside is that your cps is ancient and may not work depending on the firmware in the radio? another possibil solution to your problem would be if you knew anyone in the states that could use their mailing address?
