A9 CONSOLE INSTALL

Post by STEVE W »

I will be installing my first console in my 2004 Explorer,I will be putting in a jotto desk console and a Spectra A9, when I put the head on the bracket , the on-off switch is behind the plate. My question is, can I put a switch in either the green or orange wire to turn the radio on or off. This is my first remote install like this so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Jotto faceplates don't have the cutout. Just wire the radio for ignition control and you'd be all set. However, if you want a true switch Jotto makes several faceplates with switch knock-outs and combination of other goodies like lighter sockets already punched out.

Or, you could get the Troy FP-M9001S (straight) or FP-M9001T (angled) faceplate with switch cutout, should look fine in a Jotto.
