SystemWatch II still supported?

Post by Twisted_Pear »

Is Motorola still supporting SystemWatch? And if so, has it been updated for rebanding? The manual no longer shows up on MOL and I couldn't seem to locate a newer version.

If it's got the axe, what's meant to take its place?

Motorola has a rebanded version of Systemwatch II. It runs under XP. If you have a system that is being rebanded, Sprint / Nextel will pay for the upgrade [new PC & software]

Xmo, do you know the version number and if there's an applicable manual?

I ran across this when browsing MOL:
The GenWatch3 product is a 3rd
party, advanced-replacement for existing SystemWatch, Site
Lens, and SIP/ SIMS II products for 3600 customers and for customers that have been re-banded.
SystemWatch, a DOS-based application, has become outdated. Motorola has cancelled SystemWatch for new
orders. (However, Customers can continue to upgrade existing SW software through Upgrade Operations)
SIP/ SIMS II has already gone end-of-life and will not work with the new re-banding trunking channel
assignments. Motorola is providing the GenWatch 3 product as an advanced-replacement.
