M1225 with advantage bd and monitor off hook ?

Hello :
UHF 20ch 40 watt model #M44DGC90J2AA = M1225
Got a M1225 from a fellow batlab member that was a tech special.
I was able to repair it and it works quite well .
But one thing im trying to get it to do is go into monitor mode after you take the mike off hook.
I since noticed it has an advantage bd in it as well.
The radio had fire/pd/emt ect freqs in it so im thinking the advantage bd was for two tone seqeuncial signaling on rx.
An advantage bd in the M1225 was for QCII wasnt it ?
Would the advantage bd keep the radio in pl mode after lifting the mike ?
If so can i simply remove the advantage bd and make the radio go into monitor mode automaticly after removing the mike from the hangup clip ?

Did you check that "permanent on hook" isn't checked in the programming?

I didnt see that in the programming = Looks like ill have to take another look see.
Also i forgot to mention that i can put it in monitor mode with the monitor button but it wont do monitor mode after lifting the mike from its hang up clip.
