I am building a new system and the MSF5000 I am using seems that when it hears a signal on the RX it doesn't key right away. It's at least one full second before the transmitter keys up the PA. I cant figure out what would be causing that. All the PTT and audio qualifiers are set right the PA rise time values are set, I don't know why it is doing this. I can hear the RX signal in the DMP as soon as the handheld I am using to test keys up but the TX wont happen for one sencond. Once the repeater is keyed and the squelch tail us up you can key up with a radio and it'll pass RX right away.
Anyone run into this before?
P.S. I am using PL not DPL....
MSF5000 slow TX time

Re: MSF5000 slow TX time
I'd take a guess that some of the SpectraTAC parameters are delaying TX, or you're using the wrong code plug. It could also be a problem with old station firmware (lower than 5.xx).
Start with a default conventional code plug and build that up with your freqs and PL codes. Then try the latest firmware.
