Speaker Mic Question

Post by ffemt1764 »

Ok, here is a really dumb question I'm sure, but I was wondering if you can use the public cafety speaker mics from a jedi series radio on the XTS series radios, or is the pinout for the XTS different than the jedi radios. Please someone let me know so I know whether or not I have to invest more money into my current project. Thanks!

The speaker mic's for the Jedi's ie: HT1000 and MT2000 - JT1000 ect. should work on the XTS radios... I don't have one arount to look at the pinout.... maybe someone else will post a comment on the pinout....

A public safety style Jedi will work only as a mic. The external antenna will not. The antenna setup is different. XTS's need an external RF connnector to work. The XTS public safety mic connector body is different.
