HT750 Talkaround while in scan

I have a 4ch HT750 that I am trying to get the Repeater T/A to activate while still scanning. It does not seem to want to work. If I drop out of scan it will work, however as soon as I either toggle back on the scan or switch channels it shuts down the T/A mode. I have picked through all the configs and could not find anything. Now I would also accept that it is not possible but my HT1250 does this just fine... Could it be just an HT750 thing? Or am I missing something?

The radio stats are as follows:

4ch HT750 S Split
