XTS 3000 Programming Help

I have Astro 25 CPS 12.0 and cable RKN4106A. Is this right for the 3k? I keep getting nextgen errors and radio failed to acknowlege.... Not 100% sure I have the right programming stuff. Any help would be a big 10-4

Nope you need the Astro Series CPS, Astro 25 is for the XTS5000 and family

Still trying, w/ no luck. Using Astro Saber/ XTS 3000 RSS. Now I'm getting a protocall entry error? What is the right cable? Would a MTS cable work? Also, I tried the RSS and CPS w/ no luck... I'm lost. I wonder if it floats?

Also if I am using the wrong cable is there a way to short out the pins or tape 'em? My cable has 11 pins total and 5 blank holes Thanks 73's

You are using programming software AND cable for the XTS5000, XTS2500 (etc.). Neither is compatible with the XTS3000.

The correct cable for the XTS3000 is RKN4035D, the same one used with JEDI's (MTS2000, MT2000, HT1000 etc.). The correct software is Astro portable CPS (Not Astro 25 portable).
