battery question...

just want to make sure that the xts2500 and the HT 750 use the same battery...

They can, but there are differences.

Waris (HT750/1250/1550) series batteries have lower contacts on the back of the battery and do not fit Jedi (XTS/HT1000/MTS/MTX etc) style chargers.

xts2500 batteries have charging contacts that are the same height as standard jedi contacts, so they will charge in jedi chargers without issue. If you buy a 2500 battery, the contacts that mate with the radio will not line up, unless you peel back the label to reveal the second set of contacts.

I do not believe an Impress Waris battery indicators will work on the 2500. I don't have any waris portables (thankfully!) so I can't do any additional testing at this time.

Actually no, they don't. As Alex mentioned there are differences. But... Check out this old thread. Look at the photos down towards the end of the thread and read someones solution. :lol:
