I have a problem with my Astro Saber radio (yes this was previously posted, however, I removed the original post to clarify things), it has a problem decoding the PL/DPL on certain channels.
For instance I have 460.4125 with a DPL of 115. The radio is set to 12.5khz channel separation as per the license for this channel (note that it is a public safety frequency set to RX only). The radio will receive traffic on this channel but will not properly decode the tone and unmute. I have noticed with some channels that modifying the channel spacing will fix this issue, but on this channel I have been unable to solve the problem.
The license for this specific frequency specifies a channel bandwidth of 11.2khz I assumed this would equate out to 12.5khz channel spacing. If I am wrong and need to be pointed in another direction please inform me.
[EDIT]I might add, that I have 100+ personalities in the radio, and only a few frequencies such as the one specified exhibit this problem, all my GMRS/HAM channels Rx perfectly. (With this in mind, could I assume that the repeater on 460.4125 is at fault?)[/EDIT]

- What radios do you own?: APX4K, XTL5K, NX5200, NX700HK
Re: RX Problems
If it works correctly as 25Khz, then use 25Khz even if its wider than the license allows.
What it could mean is that the radios used by the PS department are wide-band.
For me, the differences programming narrowband on a wide-band channel is audio clipping and false muting on PL enabled channels, which seems to be similar to the issue you're having
I've also had issues with astro when programming a narrowband channel as wide-band because range was significantly decreased and desensed by adjacent frequencies.
