MT 2000 programming issue

MT 2000 programming issue

Ok I have an issue with an MT 2000 I just tried to program...half way through the programming process I got a checksum error, the radio attempted to restart and now all it does when turned on is the led lights up and stays green...nothing else... it won't read or write or anything...HELP!!!

did you get an error code on the display?

Bad codeplug data? Mike?
Messages can't be intercepted if they aren't sent, can they?

Didnt get any error messages on the display, its said 1 csq while it was writing the codeplug, then the checksum error occured in the rss, and the radio attempted to reboot, now all it get is a green constant led on power up, no display, no button functions, nothing...and it wont let me read or write to it anymore either....any ideas??

Well apparently the issue is a bad controller board, the radio has gone to the depot...i hope it will return...

Just from what you are saying there I'd say the board's clock went belly up. By belly up I mean it went to a 2.4Mhz clock instead of a 2.1. I've seen this on a few units but not many, generally it's due to an old old controller. For the price of the flat rate repair I'd say it's worth it for a brand new 6147 board (hopefully they still have those)

Yea, me too...and it sure beats buying a NEW radio lol...I'll keep everyone up to date as to what the depot says.
