What Does This Switch Do?

Post by motofreak008 »

Where I work there are a few Radius M100s that have a little toggle switch on the front of the radio by the mic plug. I have looked at it many times, and wondered what it does. I thought it might be to toggle between high and low power. It doesn't cause the radio to emit a tone when I flip it, but I haven't tried to TX or RX while it is in the other direction. Does anybody else have a clue?

Well it's something aftermarket, so we'd only be taking an educated guess... most of the times I've seen something like that it's been an encryption switch. They're usually inversion type, try flipping the switch and see if the RX and TX sound scrambled.
